I've noticed a few things happening when I use the forum and wondered if anyone else suffers the same things Question

1. When I log on and view the Forum section list, all the sections are grey (i.e. no new messages). However, if I go into a section and back again, suddenly all the sections that have new messages are now orangey (as they should be).

2. Quite often (say 40% of the time), when I click a link it just loads the top banner and the load bar (bottom left of the window) says done. Again, if I click back and forwards it often loads again fine.

Neither are that detrimental to the useage of the site, just a little annoying. Anyone else have problems? (website problems only please, this isn't a medical forum Surprised )

I did have such an error right after the site moved to the new server, but not sine then.

I sugggest you cc: the message directly to Whirlygirl so she can look into it.

Sometimes it is your service that just gets bogged down and looses some of the vital bits and bytes. Laughing

It's a ploy by WG to get you to study instead of browsing the internet!

Ah...now we have an inside man! You can reveal all the hidden secrets!

She's really your instructor? How neat is that! From what I hear, she is very good at it.

Have fun.

Hang on I'm just checking my course material...ahh here it is...

Article 1.3.2a

"the student shall not divulge any information regarding intructor, or any article of clothing the aformentioned intructor may have worn. This includes articles of a synthetic nature designed for safety, commonly referred to as the 'rubber' or 'imersion' suit..."

So there we go, I'm afraid I can't say anything.

But I won't be her student forever Twisted Evil Laughing

I think that's probably true. She did tell you about the ejector seat?

Ah, but article AB 1-1-1 states that if said student carelessly allows said information to be overhead by a third party, who just happens be in close proximity to, but not directly part of the said conversation not withstanding, who then divulges the said information which has not said other than by the orginal "said-ees", absolves the initial said student of any violation of Article 23, and said student can speak loudly whenever they choose without remorse, guilt or hard feelings.

Ok,now that we have all that cleared up..........
Does she wear her synthetics all the time?

Ahem...

Can I partake in the discussion on my wardrobe? Rolling Eyes

If you all come on the next Helicentre cross-channel trip you can see the legendary suit up close and personal... I might even let you touch it if you behave! Laughing

Now there's an offer that's hard to refuse, huh!

Article 23.9.7.3.0.76 of the training manual also states that the student must make the tea, bring the biscuits and refuel the aircraft while the instructor sits down to eat said biscuits. The student must then re-calculate the weight and balance to account for said biscuits.

Happy studying!

Sarah

Of course you can. The more chatty you get, the more we learn. Laughing

Now, if I were closer than across the Great Pond, it would be a pleasure.
Where did I put my woollies anyway?
(Last trip I made across the channel was in a C-47 Cargo plane Laughing )

Yep always makes me laugh - imagine turning up at a car hire company and they say "yeh it's in the garage half a mile away, you have to push it out, not drive it, push it to the pump, put the fuel in it, fill in all relevant paperwork, push it to the parking space and check it's all working ok before you go too won't you... oh and by the way check the oils been topped up could you thanks" Laughing
