What a fantastic weekend!! Miss Helen and I have just returned home, safe and sound.

Massive thanks weekend warrior for taking on the role of organising the weekend. Quite how you managed to book such glorious weather, I don't know! What's your secret, wozza?

Hundreds, if not thousands of photographs were taken over the weekend - needless to say that several of them will be appearing here, I'm sure. To start the ball rolling:

From this:

To this, in just a few hours!

Miss Helen, through the tail of a Gazelle!

The heat was simply too much for some:

Thank you to all who were there - it was great to meet old and new friends alike!

Glad you and Helen got back safely.

Hey, you beat us to it for posting the pictures!!
BLME's power lead has broken so can't download anything just yet. WGuy is just trying to fix it. As soon as we are up and running we will post photos.

Oh, and a quick bit of research I promised to do, to answer the question that everyone seemed to think I'd know the answer to. "What's that big house over there?"

The answer, I think, is Burley on the Hill

Hi,

What a fantastic weekend. Everyone was so nice, the weather was fantastic, the hotel was gorgeous, the food was great, and the flying superb!

It was the best break I've had in many years to be perfectly honest.

I've uploaded all my photos to my own gallery at:

http://adambailey.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core:ShowItem&g2_itemId=2288&g2_GALLERYSID=976d6814cc8ee25b7b3c9722c16f36be

I've also uploaded a selection of the photos to the Helitorque events gallery for this event.

If you don't look at any of the photos, make sure you look at the last two in both galleries. I took a shot of the clouds from the M11 as we were almost home, and the last one was taken from the top of the hill in Dartford, just before I pulled in to the house. Stuning shot of the DBs that were forming out to the west, with the sun setting behind them. Such a beautiful shot.

I can't wait to go to the next event, and definitely the Christmas do. Hopefully a fly-in too.

[I have removed the text about our re-fueling visit to Cranfield in case the information in mis-interpreted, and in case I have to file an MOR at any stage.]

Adam.

Great pix Adam - looks a really good place for a bash!
I think you should run a caption comp for what the two Mallards were saying to each other in conversation!

On the last pic of the sunset (wow) is there a plane just at the top of that rising CB or is a smudge on my monitor?

Off to look at the gallery now.

Great Idea. I'll put up a post for that.

Yeah, it's a small twin leaving London City Airport, a great many miles from the CBs.

Yeah, it was a little awkward at first, especially as I hadn't flown it before.

"Lift to the hover, check MAP, T's and P's, Warning lights.......where's the bloody MAP guage.....and where's the bloody warning lights.....my god, they're all over the place! Smile"

What worried me was if I got into an auto, and had to look hard to find the RPM guage!!! That would have been scary!!

Nice machine to fly, otherwise.

Adam.
