Don't know how long we can stay as there are usually lots of students in on a Sunday, however we've got it for a couple of hours at least so I will see what we can do! Very Happy

You don't need to have booked to order bar food - should be fine.

Don't know what registration I'm flying, will find out in the morning.

Heading over to Hinton-in-the-Hedges as a friend of mine is doing a parachute jump tomorrow morning. Spoke with Hinton yesterday to arrange PPR and find out how they coordinate the parachuting, gliding and GA arrivals. Should be fun!

I am bringing a passenger back with me and need to reunite them with their driver afterwards, so won't be able to stay for lunch. But will listen out for you on the radio and try to say hello at the Aviator if timings work out.

Yes fantasic! We have a few photos to download yet, but just got in so need a coooooool drink first! Lovely to see you all. Rich, wasn't really a planned "event", more like a little trip we had planned which we announced on the forum and it kind of turned into a mini-gathering!

Sywell was great, quite an experience looking for those grass runways low level but we made it, and we'll certainly be doing more flying more often!! Shame you couldn't hang about Craig! Perhaps we can rope you into one of our next trips!!

Will be reporting back with some of our photographs later. Very Happy Very Happy

Hi there,

Just to say it was great to fly in to Sywell and meet up with everyone who we saw.
Nice to meet you again Craig (and friends). Hopefully we can all meet up next time for a bit longer next time.

James & Helen it was great to see you both again. Thanks for a great day. Still trying to get over those burgers though!!! Smile Small portions I don't think so!!!
Can't wait 'til the next one for us all to meet up at.
We will have to come up to Costock to pay you a visit some time. Would be nice to see where you fly out from.

Take care and we will see you soon no doubt.

Our Sywell Photo Gallery

Just wanted to share a few of the photos we took en-route and at Sywell!! Shame we couldn't get a table at the Aviator Restaurant but the Horse Shoe pub down the road was great! I would hate to see what a "Large" burger looked like though!! Wish we'd taken a picture - I have never seen anything like it!!
