I could chuck another spanner in here and suggest Central Helicopters at Tollerton (Nottingham south) where Phill Speechley has a R22 and R44 to teach on. He taught me first off (at EGSY) before he left to complete his ATPL and is now based there. Also they have a couple of other instructors, one of whom I met last week - very nice chaps (as all heli guys and gals are!) and Tollerton is only a few minutes further up the A60 (and a bit more) from Costock!

Spanner duly chucked.. Wink

As much as we'd love to come and pick you up, we only conduct training flights between licensed airfields. Besides you really need to be at the school to be properly briefed for the flight (I'm sure you were only kidding about being picked up and whisked away?? Right??).

Landing in your garden (provided the landing site is suitable), at hotels and other such places will be a privilege you will earn once you have obtained your licence!

Very Happy I was only kiddin', don't want to be blowing the house down! Very Happy I'll look forward to landing my own heli there hopefully.....plenty of room, level and flat, just need to watch out for the pylons Shocked

Regards to all,
