Probably fairly academic but wonder whether you'd lose the tail boom first...

I just want to know who tried it the first time

P1 "hey i wonder if you can loop this thing?!"

P2 Yikes!

It probably started with a conversation like this.

And instead of pondering it academically someone went outside and decided to find out if the tailboom came off before the rotors hehe.

Well I'd certainly not see that before - some impressive flying. They were almost in IMC at times with that smoke system! Shocked

Hi DbChopper,

Not related to this thread, but how are you getting on with your hour building? Are you getting cheap time somewhere or have you bought your own heli?

Blimey, I wish Smile

I have been self-fly hiring from London Helicopter Centres at Redhill. I gained my PPL(H) with them some nine years ago and have been happily plodding along ever since. I'm in the lucky position at the moment in that I have no plans to give up the day job, because I enjoy it and it pays reasonably well, so my route to the CPL(H) has been slow, steady and enjoyable and without any sudden massive debt Shocked

I have enough hours do to the CPL course and then some, but the way I see it the more hours I build now the less I will have to get in between the CPL and FI courses. There are people on this forum who did buy their own helicopter to build hours - I tip my hat to them as they had more bottle than me, but if you are clever it can work out a cheaper option. Might be worth you starting a new thread?

Cool
