Hey everyone! Haven't been around in a while, no daily internet access for a few weeks.

In the meantime I completed my FAA PPL Rotorcraft written exam. Just working to finish off a few more hours and prep for my oral and practical exams.

It look like I'm going to be in Hursley all next week (Oct 3rd - 7th) and London until mid week following.

SO, I'd love a chance to meet some people. Afterall hanging out in a hotel in a town where you don't know a soul can be a drag. So who's interested in stepping up and showing a fellow rotorhead the inside of a nice pub, or shop, or ...<fill in blank>

So as I said in the subject, nows your chance to Buy a Yank a Drink! (we're not ALL bad Smile

Originally I was flying into Manchester and working in Chester (West I think?). Now I'm flying into Heathrow, working in Hursley, and staying in Winchester (which is amusing because I'm taking a leason in Winchester, Virginia (USA) in the morning before I get on the plane.

So at this point I'm going to be in the south, however, I'm not opposed to taking the train somewhere, as I'll be staying over a weekend, and have just a few things todo on my my second week there (I'm flying home on the 13th now). It's my first time in England, and I'd rather make the most of it.

If anyone wants to try and get in touch, I'm staying at:

I can't imagine that it's that far away. I really don't know what my schedule is going to be like the first few days. I also don't know what transportation is going to be like. Is it right to assume that with a taxi and a train ride I should be able to get there?

I won't likely have a car, unless I can't find a proper left hand drive car (I do happen to drive a new MINI Cooper S so I know they can make one over there in Oxford Very Happy ) Image me as Kevin Klien in A Fish Called Wanda driving around running people off the road!

A fly in would be fantastic, we could call it a training convention and maybe get a discount.

Translation guide might be helpful, I just read through some older posts where Whirly Girl talks about her "pants". I gathered later on down the thread that uk pants = USA panties <> slacks, jeans etc.
