A big Thanks to the Apache pilot who was flying near Birmingham airport today.
You were flying over the garden and allotments and when I came out and waved you went around and did a low and slow pass - that was much appreciated - thanks. I ran to get the camera but the wife had left the SD card out! Typical.
Still great view thanks! _________________ PPL (H)

I got to watch one land and later take off today at Glos airport. Brilliant to watch, though I was dissapointed that it didn't have it's cannon on the front!

I have a great mate, who is a weapons Instructor on the Apache. Sue & I were flying over Boscombe in the 206, when we were overtaken by, of all people - my mate! Smiling from ear-to-ear. It's good job, that he's a friend, and not the enemy! _________________ TC - Pilot to the Stars.

Great machine, one of my copilots is an ex Army Apache pilot, she has lots of good stories and makes a 3hr flight flyby. Great to hear the good Chinhook pulling rank and being able to out fly it. Apaches were cover for Chinhooks whilst on Medivacs in Afganistan and Iraq, on retun with wounded to base the Apaches would be of little use as cover as they simply couødnt keep up.
I recommend a book called "Sweating Metal", stories of a Chinook pilot in Iraq and Afgahnistan.
