Sample videos recorded on the new H-SIM professional helicopter simulator.
(realtime recordings of the front video channel. the Simulator has three of them wrapped around the cockpit, to cover a 180° H x 50° V field-of-view).

Rather a critical flight. After a tailrotor breakdown (initiated throught the instructor station), the pilot shuts the engine down and autorotates to a small ledge on the cliff:

The first one (t/r failure) seemed way too slow a descent [for such a short drop in altitude] and how could 'he' have know that ledge was there round a corner? Also I feel the m/r blades would have been considerably shorter by the time 'he' landed..
Of the others I liked the engine failure to the beach although I had earmarked two other large areas this side of town without the risk of flying across all those buildings to reach the sea!
Maximum score for both of you for your accurate sense of observation
These graphics are not FSX at all, but our proprietary image generator (I take this as a compliment !! ), especially developped for helicopter training (you will notice the red trim string, for instance, and vibrating grass on the ground...)
x plane has the string too.... and grass and water thats effected by the helis...... what about the flyit sims that are finding there way's into heli schools? _________________ CPL(H) Pilot/Ground Crew
Another example of training function: the "Back to the future" function, that enables the pilot to rewind the flight to the past to reattempt a missed manoeuvre.
(in this video:PLAY, then REWIND, FAST FORWARD, and finally RETRY)
Yes, 100% sure .
This sim doesn't use any third-party software (such as FSX or XPlane).
The visual system, flight model, instructor station, and all its components have been specifically developed for it, to be as realistic as possible.
