Hi there!

Quote:
Hi there WhirlyGuy. No, we transport the patient to the hospital as well, once the Doctor decides they are ready. Due to our quick response times, we are often the one's removing them from the vehicle etc. We simply shut down due to the fact that it is usually a while before they are ready to be loaded, and the flight crew are busy helping the medical team. The 427 is reliable and a fast starter so nothing to be gained by keeping it running. Also you tend to have a lot of on-lookers hanging around which can be a problem until the Fire and Police services arrive.

We do it the same way in Sweden Smile

Nice hangar, is it ok during the winter? Question

Hi there Casey, yeah it's a good hanger with heating, but this winter has been especially cold (-36 in some parts of Czech) so the heaters are having a hard time keeping things above 10 degrees (important for some of the medical solutions on board)

When we get a callout, the dispatch center pushes a button which automatically opens the hanger doors and sends the pad out. It is a pretty high-tech setup.

Whirlyguy, the hanger is part of the "EMS Station" The building was constructed to house Fast car, Ambulances, and a helicopter.

Cheers BM

Hi BigMike...you guys have a superb place up there!!!
I've never seen anything like that. We've got HEMS bases up Northern Italy, and it's pretty cold up there, but we can only dream of something like that.
You have all my admiration! Shocked
