If I come on Sunday, it'll be by car - Juliet Echo had a terminal EOL today (Saturday) and dynamic rollover followed. She is not a happy bunny. Should have been a practice auto and power recovery but the power bit didn't and it became an EOL. Ground very boggy and yuk, over she went. Andy the pilot had a cut I believe and the pax was going through x-ray to check everything was ok.

Very sad. Quite shook me up when I was told. Sad

If I don't make it, have a good time.

Guys and Gals,
Have a good day at Tollerton, had originally hoped to come along by road but taking Mrs Oi_M to see Derek Acorah, the Spiritualist medium, in Oxford.
Hopefully, it won't be camcelled due to Unforeseen circumstances!!

Oh dear Foxy, sad news indeed. Testament to the design and strength of the machines that everyone is more or less okay.

Fog wise, METAR for EGNX shows:
Quote:
EAST MIDLANDS EGNX 190720Z 03006KT 0200 R27/0300 R09/0350 FG SCT006 00/M00 Q0998

but EGNX is a good 10 miles away.

I wouldn't call it fog here in the slightest, it's more misty. Vis probably in the region of 4000-5000 I reckon. And temperature here is 2

FORECAST IS GRIM WITH CLOUD NOT ABOVE 800ft BY THE LOOKS OF IT.....NOT GOOD ENOUGH
THE WX IS COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH AND WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TROUBLE GETTING BACK THIS AFTERNOON
RAIN IS FORECAST AND DENHAM IS 93% CLOUD COVER BY 1500!!!

me, blme, WGirl, WGuy, onemag and his Mum, have decided to drive to Tollerton. If the weather miraculously clears in the next 1 1/2 hours then we can change our plans.

As far as I know Rotorcraig and a.n.other will drive if weather doesn't suit them. He is still on prehistoric dial-up, so I will just await his phone call.

And of course, James T Lowe and Miss Helen only live 'just round the corner' so they will definitely be there. (James - don't forget the gingerbread recipe).

Whatever, we will have a good time and a delicious curry.

Photos posted later!!!!!! Smile

Hi sorry I didn't make it today; as I said on the phone Katherine woke up poorly (again!) and really wanted me to be here with her.

Combined with nonVFR conditions, that was me well and truly grounded I'm afraid. Turned into a day of tending to the sick and more frustrating DIY Sad Crying or Very sad

But I understand that those of you that did set off planned to turn it into a "recce" for a future curry fly out once the weather improves ... how did you get on Very Happy Question
