Last thing I recall was falling over a traffic cone and then spinning around in that thing in the funhouse! Laughing

I'm very surprised you remember as far as the traffic cone, actually... Wink Rolling Eyes Laughing

Seeing as we were nearly all members on here that statement doesn't really count does it? Very Happy
I also seem to recall it was declared a draw on the night (seeing as the ratio was 2:1 in the aircrew favour...) Cool

Just had our booking in form come through the post. Let's hope this weather holds out until the end of July - it's about time we had a WSM trip where we're not drowning in rain! Fingers crossed.

Anybody else planning on joining us for a drink or three? Don't forget to post so that we know who to look out for - it's always nice to put more faces to the usernames!!

Yep, I'll be there on the Saturday, all things being equal.

Can't stay too late, I think the last train back to Didcot is 2015 ish, at least I can have a few beers. Fall asleep on the train and end up in London, Doh!!

Happy flying in this warm weather.

Martin

Hi WG;

I am definitely turning up for the Saturday midday onwards and will stay the night, though I will try to avoid ending up in the police cells, and to that end I will gleefully avoid scrumpy! Shocked

It will be good to meet people and I am going to memorise LASORS so I can talk to JTL without making anything up Wink Wink

I will be without the clan Copterfan for once (a rarity), so the trouble and strife says I can only bring a tenner to spend on booze; I'll have to start saving up then. Laughing Cool Wink

Cheers,

Copterfan. Very Happy

Alas Copterfan, I can't make it to WSM on that particular weekend. So no worries on the LASORS front Wink Wink

It's a popular weekend for activities, that one. Cool

Hello to all,

Having read these forums on and off for a while I thought I had better register finally.

I will be at the Helidays this year along with Mrs Smokey and so look forward to meeting up with as many of the other members of the site as possible. Should be a good event this year with the addittion of the flying displays.

Mike.

Flyer Sorry you won't be there, we will think of you with your "happy Visor" down.

Welcome Smokey!

Look forward to meeting up with you at WSM! Make sure you keep in touch so that we don't miss you! A lot of us are staying at the Sunfold Hotel opposite the Tropicana.

Which day will you be arriving Smokey?

Sorry to hear that JTL, well I'm sure I'll catch you at one of the events during the year, and by that time I might know some more acronyms! Wink Wink

I look forward to it, and meeting everybody else at Weston. Cool

Has anyone taken up the 'Sunfold Hotel' spare room offer from TC yet????

Also, who is flying in???? I know TC and 'Dad" are, and of course us!!!!

What about you Copterfan, are you flying in?? And Smokey, are you 'walking', or 'flyin', in?????? How will we recognise you? Unless, of course, we tell you what type of machine, and reg, we will be flying into Weston in and you can come over and 'welcome' us!!!

Shame JamesTLowe, and his good lady, Helen, can't make it that weekend but there is a good enough excuse!!! Lady Helen is running a marathon in aid of Cancer Research!!!!

Hi Catwoman,

I'm not flying in this year, if I did this at my early stage of learning it would be counted as theft (if I could find my way) and I would have a blue and yellow MD900 on my tail. Razz Razz Next year more likely! Very Happy However, I will be driving in from visiting relatives in Gloucester. So, not far to come.
I haven't sorted where to stay yet, but will in the next week or so. If I can't find anywhere I'll crash out in Smokey's back garden Shocked Very Happy Very Happy Wink Wink (just kidding Smokey.)

Ot, but forgiveable I hope?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CATWOMAN, many happy returns to a fellow Gemini! Wink Wink

Copterfan. Cool

Copterfan, Thomas Coupling may still have that spare room on offer at the same place we've booked - might be worth dropping him a PM.

Look forward to meeting you.

Word of advice - if you plan to drive down on Saturday morning, either be early, or expect to get caught in M5 traffic around Bristol. Why on earth didn't I think about that last year?!? Wink Confused
