HI JTL,
Sage advice, and I should have remembered, I am modifying my journey accordingly. I'll have to take it easy on my Pa's real ale on the Friday night and set off much earlier than previously intended.
Might look into getting a transfer from Staverton which is only two miles or so from the Aged one's abode, might be a better idea!

Rotorboater,
Nice one! I would settle for a flying fridge any day if it meant I could fly off in my own heli! Due to the joys of hiring we can't tell you our registration yet, but this will be revealled closer to the time, when we know ourselves! When will you be arriving? I think a nice cold one from the beer tent will be in order (that is if they have a beer tent this time. Last year a beer tent would have come in very handy as we were desperately ran around attempting to seek cover from the terrential rain! I wonder why they got rid of it.

Hi Catwoman,
Not sure yet if we will bring an aircraft along or not as we will be living so close (hopefully) by then and i would like to avail myself of a drink or two. Our daughter would love to fly in but I may just "borrow" a cab to give her a flight on the day. Will let you know if we decide to definitely bring something in.
We will be at the BBQ and so will look out for other forum members who we can recognise . If you want to find me Just ask any of the museum staff which pilot eats the most and they will probably point at me. |

I expect those forum members who are going to WSM will definitely recognise us lot!!!! By then, hopefully, we will have our 'new logo' helitorque t-shirts.
Yes - the beer tent!!!! Where did it go last year???? We HAD to find a wine bar and sit there all afternoon
Also, don't forget the dodgem competition on Saturday night - us against the marshallers

I think that's probably because we didn't fancy donkey rides, and ice-cream on the beach....! _________________ J. |

Well if the weather holds out it will be a great if hot weekend. Don't forget your sun tan lotion (don't you just hate it when the sand sticks to you though).
Hope to see lots of you there and plenty of private people flying in. It appears that due to the many conflicts around the globe at present there may well be a large void of military machines that we will need to fill.
See you all at the BBQ |

I was wondering last night how many heli-torquers will be on the dogems?
Our team, including Martin, will number just 4 again I believe this year due to an injured member (sounds nasty doesn't it ).
So come on bring it on!!!!! |

Oi
What's all this High-Vis vest requirement stuff? (The letter just mentioned Hi-Vis Clothing - can I wear my Hi-Vis G string?)
It'll get spoilt if health & safety get involved....mark my words _________________ TC - Pilot to the Stars.

Does anyone know the air traffic frequency for the event. I can listen out on the way in.
I guess the most of the arrivals will be in off Bristol Approach.
Sorted train times out, 0712 from Didcot, finals for Weston at 0925can't miss any fun for a day at the seaside. Even if TC is in a
hi vis G-string. Is there any law about being P1 in just your underwear.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Been saving up me ice cream and beer tokens for a while.
See you all at the weekend
